Fogstone Games Presents...

Lost Admiral Returns

Lost Admiral Returns is the creation of Fogstone Games and Thurston Searfoss. The game is inspired by the original Lost Admiral game created by Thurston Searfoss, QQP, and Bruce Williams in 1991.

The Lost Admiral won several awards, including "Strategy Game of the Year 1992" from Computer Gaming World Magazine. There is still a loyal following of people playing the original game over 12 years later, which has been the impetus for this new version to bring the world of Lost Admiral into the modern era of the Internet.

A variety of people have helped Lost Admiral Returns become a reality through production of the game, artwork, website work, Internet capabilities, inspiration, and more...

Thurston Searfoss has done all the design work, business management, software development, and other odd jobs to bring Lost Admiral Returns to life.

Patrick McLane created the bulk of the artwork in the game, including both 2D and 3D artwork. He also put together many of the audio samples in the game.

Mark Howison also created some of the artwork and created the wonderful website layouts along with many other nuts and bolts of the Lost Admiral Returns sites.

Dave Cousins and Jason Plata have been brought on board in October 2003 to help update and finish various graphics, LAR website updates, edit various maps, combat scripts, and other parts of the LAR game.

Jamie Rodell has been helping with additional onsite beta testing since June 2004.

Thurston's family members, business associates, and friends have helped immensely with patience, encouragement, finances, and feedback: Leslie Searfoss, Amelia Searfoss, Patricia Searfoss, Bill Burt, Rob O'Connel, Robert Ireton-Hewitt, Andy Visscher, Bill Magnum, and the many people who have asked for a newer version of Lost Admiral and my other games published with QQP.

There have been many dedicated testers and fans of LAR who have sent persistent, helpful feedback to Fogstone Games for rounding out LAR over time.  Names amongst many are: Al Toth, Glen Paul, Mark Buehler, Allen Morgan, Anthony Zigarelli, Duane Gravley, Alan How, Alan Trail, Stefan Ibarguen, Oliver Schenk, Bob Strobbe, Steve Macfarlane, Lonnie Falk, Robert Viennerrs, Mark Powers, and many many others!
